I've worked in real estate in the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 2001, but I grew up around the business long before I ever got my license.

My family moved to Trophy Club in 1983, when the community was still relatively new. My mother had already been in real estate for years before earning her Texas license in 1984 and continuing her career in Trophy Club. After I became licensed in 2001, she and I worked together for roughly 20 years. I learned a lot from her, and over time I developed my own way of working with clients and handling transactions.

For me, that starts with understanding what someone is actually trying to accomplish before I start telling them what I think they should do. I ask questions, gather the information that's relevant and, when necessary, involve the right people. I don't believe experience means knowing every answer. Sometimes it means recognizing what we need to find out, where to look or who to ask, and what needs to happen next.

Once I understand the situation, I'll tell you what I think - even when it may not be exactly what you hoped to hear. That could mean a candid conversation about price, pointing out a concern with a property or recommending a different approach. I'll explain why I see it that way, but ultimately it's your property, your money and your decision.

Real estate doesn't always go according to plan. Inspections uncover things, financing gets complicated, title questions come up and sometimes something happens that nobody expected. When it does, part of my job is helping figure out what needs to happen next, who needs to be involved and how we keep things moving.

My business includes sellers and buyers as well as landlords and tenants. Whether you're selling, buying, listing a property for lease or looking for a place to rent, the way I approach it is the same: ask questions, give you useful information and straightforward advice, and do the work required to help get you where you're trying to go.

And while real estate has been part of my life for a long time, it isn't my entire life. I'm also a husband, a dad and a bass player. I currently play in three DFW bands - Metal Shop, an '80s hair-band tribute where I'm known as Ginger Roxxx; Shake Me, a tribute to Cinderella; and BDE (Big D Energy), playing everything from classic rock to '90s and 2000s rock and pop.

Some people know me as Jon Clark the Realtor. Others know me as Ginger Roxxx.
